List Master is a to-do, shopping and trip-packing app made by Wilky Productions. This page explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it. The short version: we keep what’s needed to run your lists, we don’t sell anything, and there are no ads or tracking.
What we collect
- Your email address — to sign you in (with a one-time code) and to send invites you ask us to send.
- What you put in the app — lists, tasks, trips, packing items, meal plans and campground plans, so they sync between your devices and with the person you share with.
- Device details you choose — the name you give your phone (shown in “Johnny added Milk” alerts) and, if you turn on notifications, a notification address for that device.
- Trip journal photos you add — stored with our hosting provider so they sync to your devices; only you can add or remove them, and they’re deleted with your account. If you share a trip from your journal, anyone with that trip’s link can see its name, dates, place and photos (and your notes, only if you choose to include them) until you stop sharing; people you share with can save copies to their own journal.
- Your phone number, only if you add it — so friends who have your number in their contacts can find you in List Master. It isn’t verified, shown to anyone, or used for texts or marketing, and you can remove it anytime (ⓘ → Friends).
- Finding friends from your contacts, only if you allow it — the iPhone app turns each contact’s phone numbers and email addresses into scrambled codes (SHA-256 hashes) on your phone and sends only those, to check which belong to List Master accounts. We don’t store them or your contact list, and never contact anyone in it — an invite only goes out if you tap Invite and send the text yourself.
- Group lists — everyone on a group list you create or join sees the list, the names of the people on it, and what each person adds or says they’re bringing. Anyone with a group list’s invite link can see its name and who sent it, and join it. You can leave a group list at any time; deleting your account removes you from every one.
- Friends — if you add friends, they see your name and email address, and what you choose to send them (trips, trip photos, Buy-list ideas). Friend requests you send go to the email address you enter.
- Store reminders, only if you turn them on — the store’s location is saved with that shopping list; your iPhone itself notices when you arrive. List Master never tracks where you are.
- Location, only when you use it — Explore and Plan Ahead search near a place you type or, if you allow it, your current location. It’s used for that search and not stored with your account.
- Subscription status — whether your account has an active plan and when it renews. Payment details stay with Apple; we never see your card.
- Steps from Apple Health, only if you connect it — the iPhone app reads today’s step count to show it on Home. It’s read on your phone and never sent to us, stored, shared, or used for advertising. Turn it off anytime in the Health app: tap your picture → Apps → List Master.
- Error reports — if something in the app breaks, a short technical report (what failed, on which screen, and the kind of device) so we can fix it. It doesn’t include your account or what’s on your lists.
What we don’t do
- No ads, no advertising or analytics trackers, and no selling or renting your data.
- No reading your lists for anything other than showing them to you and the people you share with.
Who else handles it
List Master uses these services to run. Each only gets what it needs for its job:
- Vercel (hosting) and Upstash (database) — store and serve your lists and account.
- Resend — delivers sign-in codes and invite emails.
- Apple and RevenueCat — process and keep track of App Store subscriptions.
- Google Places — Explore and private campground searches (the place or location you search).
- Recreation.gov, ReserveCalifornia, Open-Meteo and the National Weather Service — campground availability and weather for the places you search.
- Apple Push / web push services — deliver the notifications you turn on.
Sharing
Anything you switch to Shared is visible to, and editable by, the one person you share with. Everything else stays private to your account.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time from the ⓘ info panel (Your account → Delete my account). That permanently deletes your account and your private lists; anything you shared stays with the person you shared it with. Lists that were never added to an account are deleted automatically after 6 months without changes. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an App Store subscription — cancel that in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Children
List Master isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
